Minister of Communication, Works and Transport, Dr. Clarice Modeste-Curwen stated that remedial work will soon commence on the Number 1 Court House, Law Library, Registry and Legal Affairs building immediately. The Minister made the statement while visiting the Legal Complex with Permanent Secretary Crispin Fredrick and Technical Staff of the Ministry on Monday March 7, 2005 The Legal Complex was damaged during Hurricane Ivan on September 7, 2005, since then the Regional Security System (RSS) has repaired the roof of the Registry, Legal Affairs building and other parts of the complex. However, there is still internal work to be done. Minister Modeste-Curwen thanks the workers in the Legal Affairs complex for their patience and asks for continued cooperation as together we strive to "Rebuild Grenada better".
