Due date extended for Commonwealth Activity Book Project

The Department of Youth Development in the Prime Minister’s Office has extended its deadline for its Commonwealth Activity Book Project.
The new due date for the project, which targets students under age 18, is now Thursday 31st March, 2005. This has become necessary due to
the tremendous response received from the public.
Secondary school students are required to produce an activity book containing a detailed hand-drawn map highlighting the capital and major
towns of every Commonwealth Member State. Information should also be provided on the currency, climate, population, size and physical features
of each member state.
Students at the primary level are asked only to provide information on the name and capital, currency, climate, population, size and physical
features of each member state. Pictures and other creative representations are allowed in each category. Submissions may be legibly handwritten
or typed.
The first three students who correctly complete activity books in each category will receive prizes. Consolation prizes will also be awarded
for the next ten correctly completed activity books as well as the most creative book.
Prizes are as follows:
1st-A computer
2nd- A set of encyclopedia
3rd- Educational vouchers worth $300.00
4th-13th -$150.00 Educational vouchers
Certificates/medals of participation will be awarded to each participant.
